Our language school is located in the Kyoto University of the Arts, allowing students to learn more about art-related research directly from the university’s professors.

Strengths of KYOTO INSTITUTE OF CULTURE AND LANGUAGE

1. Located in the traditional grounds of Kyoto University of the Arts, with real opportunities for using Japanese, in a place surrounded by traditional culture and history.
2.  Located in the old capital of Kyoto, filled with traditional culture, while renowned for electronics like computers, games, etc., making for a perfect blend between old and modern Japan.
3. Is part of the same group as the Kyoto University of the Arts and the Kyoto Institute of Design, with public areas such as libraries, cafeterias, cafes, gyms, and theaters for convenience, with opportunities for socializing with Japanese students through club activities.
4. Students can choose courses based on their personal goals and interests, including tutoring for tests like the JLPT and the EJU, on top of Kyoto culture, Japanese language for business, Japanese and newspaper, writing Japanese, studying a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, etc.
   

Available Courses/Programs

1.  General Japanese
   Suitable for those pursuing higher education in vocational institutions, universities, and graduate schools, and for those interesting in developing their Japanese language skills to the maximum. The program starts in April and October, with 7 levels of classes from basic to advanced, and is designed for 2 full years of studying. However, students can also apply for 6 months, 1 year, or 1 year and a half.
